In 2023, Colin and Dawn Marie Lake launched Seashine Labs Organic Skincare with a mission rooted in sustainability, ethical employment, and ocean conservation. While they had a dedicated team focused on product development and testing, they needed support in growing brand awareness and strengthening their social media presence.
This project was a hands-on experience in client relations, requiring close collaboration with Colin and Dawn Marie via Zoom—navigating time zone differences with them based in Guatemala—to understand their pain points, goals, and vision for the brand.
Through in-depth research and strategy development, my partner and I:
Identified the target market and key customer personas
Conducted a competitor assessment and SWOT analysis
Developed a comprehensive social media strategy with defined content pillars
Created a detailed and diverse content calendar
Researched and provided recommendations for launching an influencer marketing program
Designed a social media mock-up campaign for Instagram
Developed a crisis response plan to ensure brand consistency in challenging situations
Outlined key KPIs to track performance and measure success
This project allowed me to apply strategic marketing concepts in a real-world setting while strengthening my skills in brand strategy, digital marketing, and client communication.
